WARD 12 RESIDENTS - YOU ARE INVITED TO GET INVOLVED

As part of my campaign commitments, I promised to engage the citizens of Ward 12 through programs that provide a voice of advocacy. One of those initiatives was the formation of resident-lead volunteer Advisory Panels for issues of concern in our ward.

The first of such panels will be centred around the Budget and Council Spending Priorities.

Join A Ward 12 Resident Advisory Panel

We are seeking concerned citizens from Ward 12 who are engaged and committed to positivity and improving the lives of their fellow residents within the ward and throughout the city.

We will partake in regular conversations where participants are encouraged to speak freely and openly. Notes will be taken but will be held in confidence. Members of the Ward 12 Office will facilitate the meeting and direct the conversation. At this point, we’ll be meeting virtually. As restrictions allow, we hope to move to in-person meetings.

Your commitment would be up to 90 minutes, one evening per month, plus any additional time you use to prepare. Members will remain private, but the results may be shared via our communication channels. We ask for a one-year commitment right now. In one year’s time, we will reset and open the Advisory Panel again to current and new members.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to have your voice heard by your Council representative, then we’d love to hear your ideas. What are we looking for?

Ward 12 Budget and Council Spending Priorities Advisory Committee

  • Budget and planning experience desired but is not a requirement.
  • Creative, results-driven, passionate, financially focused expertise is an asset.

Ultimately, these panels will produce ideas and plans that reflect the cross-section of those that call Ward 12 home, so anyone can apply.

Click here and complete the application.

We will launch additional Advisory Panels at a later date. Please stay tuned for more updates!
